Legislate THIS! Is a series of burlesque productions that raise money for local Planned Parenthood chapters.
Legislate This! had it’s inaugural show in Austin, Texas in April of 2012. Since then, it has spread across Texas with productions in San Antonio, Houston, and Austin, as well as other areas of the United States including the Bay Area! This production is an annual event which brings together the burlesque community to show their support for Planned Parenthood. All proceeds from Legislate This! are donated directly to that show’s local PP chapter, or occasionally directly to an abortion fund.

It’s 2025 and politicians are working harder than ever to deny Americans basic human rights and access to healthcare. There’s a full-blown coup going on and anyone that isn’t a bible-thumping white cis-het male is a target in the eyes of the administration. While it may feel hopeless, we are the majority and we can fight back!
Legislate This is a benefit show featuring burlesque, aerial, and drag performers putting our money where our mouth is! All cast, crew, and the venue are donating their time, talents, and space so that 100% of profits from this show can be donated directly to Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas.
Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas has worked tirelessly for 90 years to provide necessary healthcare to all people. They provide STD and STI testing, reproductive care, birth control, and gender affirming healthcare to the people of Austin, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Paris, Plano, Tyler, Waco, and surrounding communities. We are thrilled to be able to offer them some monetary support to aid in their efforts!
